Th/F we have a sub again, I will be at the National Science Teacher's Association Conference gaining skills and inspiration to share with you all. In class you will be doing an empirical formula lab and working on a quiz review packet (the sub will have the key and I have it posted here.) 

-The quiz will be on W/Th, M/T we will be doing a mini lab and some more work to ensure you all do great on the quiz!!! Please try all the problems on the review packet before M/T so we can address any questions you may have.

I have had a couple concerns about the matter ppt so her it is in pdf for incase your computer couldn't open the other version.

HW. do the take home quiz, we'll go over it next class. For some reason the scanner won't send me my scans so I don't have the extra worksheets to post hopefully tech can help me with it tomorrow. Please feel free to stop by anytime tomorrow for hard copies of extra practice and a corresponding key. Remember, Review next class and Test Monday/Tuesday.

HW - Try to use the criss-cross method to write the formulas for the following ion combinations. Remember to write a balance neutral formula for the ionic compound you simply take the exponent (charge) from one ion and write it as the subscript (# of ions) of the other ion. Also if you have two of each it's the same as one of each if you simplify (you should always simplify if you can. Don't forget to use parentheses when needed. I have filled in some examples. 

HW. sorry for not posting yesterday. please finish the p,n,e practice, and do sec 4.3 pages 112-119 #16-34. Also remember to work on your PT tile.
