Homework: Book Ch. 11.1 and 11.2, and do at lease half of each of the practice sheets I gave you.
HW: wright the conclusion and evaluation sections of a lab report for your steel wool lab. Remember to think about our discussion on error.
Homework: Ch 10.3, and the empirical formula practice problems. ![]()
Congratulations on finishing Unit 2!! No official homework but we will be jumping back into percent composition and transitioning into determining formulas so get your heads ready!
Chapter 10.3 from the text would be most useful. Here is the key to the %comp question on the back of the lab. Remember, quick lab quiz (calculations from data just like you took in the lab) and then mostly review with a few other fun things next class. Also make sure you get through 10.3 in the book and have your mole poster calculations ready to review. ![]()
Book work: Ch10.1-10.2, handout: pro molers tour. Remember we will have a quiz on naming etc this week. Also we will be having a Unit test next week (mon/tues) covering atoms, naming/formulas, and a second look at chemical/physical properties, as well as our first look at mols/molecular mass.
See chapter sections 9.1-9.3 in the text book for more review and support with the naming and formula writing that we have been working on. The text should reinforce what we have done in class and the problems will offer more practice. Remember, we will be having a quiz on this next week.
