Have a lovely break, here are the things you need to get done for chem.

• The mole poster project, remember start with "one mole of" and end with a reasonable number for the answer of "how many times" Just follow the sentence outline I gave you and you should be fine. Don't forget to show beautiful Dimensional analysis with units canceled. 
• you should finish up the problem set from 9.1-9.3
• chem notes for chapter 10. remember think about what helps you more, chem notes before or after we discuss the topic in class. Do what works for you. we have covered the 10.1-10.2 so you should definitely get your notes done on that, but we will be covering 10.3 after break. Also if you want more practice on those mole calculations go ahead and get started on the questions from 10. and 10.2. For any of you that are potentially falling a little behind this time is a great opportunity to make sure you are all caught up. Also if the dimensional analysis and mole conversions are causing you trouble I know Kahn academy has some videos covering those topics.
  
• Lastly the analysis should get done, it refers back to ch.9 so maybe that will be a good review for some of you.
  

Sorry, I know it looks like a ton of work but you should theoretically already be part way through some of this stuff, and now is a critical time for you to stay on top of the material, remember it all builds from here forward. 

Hi all, remember next class you will be creating your Quantum model with your group in class. Be sure you come prepared with any extra supplies and tools/resources you may need to construct your project. If you where not in class come get the assignment sheet and or connect with a friend from class to get the information you need. These models will be a graded assessment for ALT 2. Hi all, for next class please finish all of the work on the gas law HW set. EXCEPT Don't do the Analysis, the graphs are totally wrong, so much for trusting google. just skip the analysis (you already did it in your lab write up anyway)

​The ALT 1 Test will be Tues/Wed of next week.

HW for the weekend: do your analysis and challenge problem from the HW set. Also do the calculations for the lab remember you need to determine the specific heat capacity for both metals then identify the unknown and then do percent error calculations for both. See you next week.

HW: Chem notes: ch. 13 pg 420-439,  ch. 17 pg 556-561 and 569-575 and do all the vocab for those sections of the text. Have a great weekend!

HW density lab!!
1) calculate your volumes from your data. (be sure to get your length measurements into cm before you calculate your volume.
2) make a graph of mass vs. volume (mass = y axis, volume = x axis)
3) find your line of best fit and it's slope.
4) look up the density of copper and determine how your data relates to the density of copper.
5) based on your conclusions from 4 above determine the density of the unknown metal and look up a table of densities to identify the unknown metal.
6) Using what you learned from your experiment can you derive an equation for density? 
7) What is density? (describe it with words)

If you where late in starting the class or chose not to do your previous homework for some reason now is the best time to catch up. You will be getting your next problem set next class.
